This is one of our newer programs which began at the end of 2005. Our members
visit third grade classes in Carlsbad, Vista and Oceanside public schools and make
a 45 minute presentation which includes a video and discussion about personal
safety. Each child receives a book which they can take home to share with their
parents.
The presentation focuses on awareness of strangers and how children can stay
safe when home alone or in the community.
In 2008-2009, presentations were made to 2090 students at 23 schools.
